Medicine is viewed as a healing art, but what happens when in the name of science and medical treatment certain experiments are done on humans that cause more harm than good? Or conversely, has “good” resulted from questionable medical experimentation.

The exhibit “Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race” coming to the Science Museum of Minnesota February 9, 2008 through May 4, 2008 provides an opportunity to examine the issues of questionable medical practices.

The teachers workshop is an opportunity for middle and high school educators in the social and biological sciences to hear experts present evidence and discuss their views on the issues and to determine the relevancy to issues their students will be addressing in the future based on experiences from the past. The workshop provides an opportunity for participants from the disciplines to discuss the role each plays in guiding students in the development of analytical processes for future policies.
